Abbey joined the Department of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation at MNPS in August 2023 as Manager of Research-Practice Partnerships to serve as the district-side Co-Director for PEER. She has been leading and creating systems for conducting collaborative research on high impact problems of practice for the past 10 years. Most recently, Abbey served as the Research Director for the Institute for School Partnership at Washington University in St. Louis where she led a Networked Improvement Community focused on improving equitable outcomes and experiences in mathematics. She holds a PhD in developmental science from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development and is happy to be back in Nashville helping facilitate meaningful change in both research and practice.
